Megan fell in love with trail running when they joined the Mesa Monument Striders in 2021. Having never run more than a half marathon before, they were inspired by other Striders members and soon started training for 30k and 50k races. For Megan, trail running brings many benefits including community, challenge, mindfulness, confidence, nature, creativity, solitude, discernment, lots and lots of food, and health (physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual). Megan likes to give back by volunteering at local races and learning how to make the trail running community a more inclusive space for all.
