Appleton Freezer 2026
34 Appleton Freezer competitors ready to go plus a stroller and a couple of dogs.
NOTE: Course records shown are for the current course. The old course did a same 4-mile square but used G Rd to the south instead of I Rd to the north and had an all-time record of 20:09 by Allen Russell (1987).
It was a sunny and brisk (but not quite freezing) morning for the Appleton Freezer! We had 34 runners line up for the 42nd running of this classic Striders 4 mile road race. Niko Sanchez was first place male (21:46) and Kat Robinson was first place female (28:42), with Max and Billie Robinson winning the Stroller Division. Winners were rewarded with an apple full of (gummy) worms and a $10 gift certificate to Palisade Pizza and Pourhouse, donated by James and Laura Sanders. DFL runners and raffle winners also got to take home gift cards. Treats and hot drinks were enjoyed by all.
