As someone whose job has moved them around quite a bit (7 states in 8 years)- I've often struggled in new locations with meeting new people and making friends. The Striders has been a great way for me to meet like minded people, given me an excuse to drink beer, and been the motivation for me to get out the door on some cold nights. There's something for every body with the number of group runs and race events that the Striders put on. I can confidently say it's the best running club I've come across in my travels.
